Why Dumawall is the right choice for the entrance hall

A hallway has to withstand a lot. It’s usually a narrow, busy space where coats, bags, shoes and even bicycles pass through. So you want wall cladding that can handle all of that — like Dumawall:

Lightweight, thin and strong.

With a thickness of only 5 mm, our panels are ideal for narrow hallways where you don’t want to lose space. You install them directly on an existing wall or tiled surface, without demolition or major preparation.

Easy installation.

The panels can be cut to size with a utility knife, convenient around corners, sockets and door frames. With finishing profiles, you give edges and corners a clean, neat finish.

Low-maintenance.

Your hallway will look tidy for longer — even with daily use.

Which format fits your hallway?

Wall tiles - Dumawall+

Dumawall wall tiles give your hallway a familiar, timeless look. They add structure to the space without dominating it. Ideal if you like the classic tile appearance but want to work faster and cleaner than with traditional ceramic tiles.

How to renovate your hallway

Step 1: Preparation

A good substrate determines the result. Make sure the wall is clean, dry and flat. Remove dust, grease and loose material. Then let the panels acclimatise for at least 48 hours in the hallway itself, at least 50 cm from the walls and at around 20 °C.

Step 2: Measuring and cutting

Measure the walls carefully and always calculate 10% extra material and adhesive. In a hallway, precise cuts are especially important. Pay attention to corners, door frames and sockets. A utility knife or fine saw is sufficient for all adjustments.

Step 3: Installation

Start at the bottom and work from right to left. Apply the adhesive in vertical zigzag lines, press the panel firmly and check with a level. Connect each panel using the tongue‑and‑groove system for a clean, seamless fit.

Step 4: Finishing

Finish corners and edges neatly with aluminium profiles — it’s what makes the difference between a DIY result and a professional look. Clean the surface afterwards with a damp cloth.

Inspiration for your hallway

The right style choice determines how your hallway feels — and how big it appears.

Warm and inviting with wood‑look.

A wood‑look instantly brings atmosphere into your home. Ideal for an entrance hall where you want to welcome visitors warmly. Combine with soft lighting, black accents or natural materials for a cosy first impression.

Modern and stylish with concrete‑look.

A concrete‑look in grey or anthracite gives your hallway a sleek, contemporary appearance. Beautiful in combination with black doors, metal details or a minimalist interior.

Brighter and more spacious with solid colours.

Is your hallway narrow or dark? Then a light solid colour can work wonders. Soft white, beige or grey tones make the space feel larger, calmer and fresher.
