Renovating with Dumawall in 4 steps
Step 1: Preparation
Ensure a clean, dry and flat surface, and remove dust, grease and loose material. Allow the panels to acclimatise in the room for 48 hours (at least 50 cm from the walls, ideal temperature 20°C).
Step 2: Measuring and cutting
Measure the wall accurately and always calculate at least 10% extra material and adhesive. Cut to size with a utility knife or fine saw.
Step 3: Installation
Start at the bottom and work from right to left. Apply adhesive in vertical zigzag lines, press the panel firmly and check with a spirit level. Connect panels using the tongue‑and‑groove system.
Step 4: Finishing
Do not attach heavy accessories directly to the panels; drill through them and use plugs in the underlying wall. Clean with a damp cloth or a soft, non‑abrasive cleaner. Avoid chlorine, abrasives or solvents.

What do you need?
For smooth installation, you don’t need a large set of tools. With these items, you’re already well equipped:
- Dumawall panels or wall tiles
- Tape measure, pencil and spirit level
- Utility knife or fine saw
- Dumafix or another MS polymer adhesive suitable for wall panels
- Silicone sealant for joints in very humid areas, mandatory in the shower
- Aluminium profiles for neat finishing of corners and edges
